ELI STOWERS
Scout's Take
Adding an intriguing puzzle piece to the Miami Dolphins, Eli Stowers is a former 4-star quarterback who transitioned into a Mackey Award-winning tight end at Vanderbilt. At 6'4" and 235 pounds, Stowers is an incredibly fluid athlete who functions more like a "power slot" or "big receiver" than a traditional in-line blocker. He led Vanderbilt as their top offensive weapon in 2025, recording 62 receptions for 769 yards. Stowers is a mismatch nightmare who stretches the field vertically and excels at creating yards after the catch. In fantasy football, he is a premier PPR dynasty pick due to his receiving-first skill set and projected NFL usage in passing-heavy offenses. While his athletic ability is elite, he is still "raw" at the catch point and struggles with drop issues. His primary weakness is blocking; he lacks the play strength to survive in the box and often avoids physical collisions as a blocker. However, his high-jump champion background translates into Promising catch radius and vertical speed. He mirrors the "Swiss-army" versatility of Taysom Hill but with a higher ceiling as a pure pass-catching weapon.
