SETH MCGOWAN
Scout's Take
Seth McGowan is a seasoned traveler who attended five colleges before finding a home at Kentucky. Standing 5'11" and 215 pounds, McGowan possesses great "edge-bending" speed and a north-south running style that makes him effective between the tackles. He finished his final college season with 851 scrimmage yards and 12 touchdowns, proving to be a high-utility goal-line asset. In fantasy, McGowan is a boom-or-bust depth piece whose value is rooted in volume; he had several games with 18+ touches in the SEC. While he possesses the high-knee action to evade tacklers, most form tacklers have no trouble knocking him backwards instantaneously. His primary concerns are age-turning 26 during his rookie season-and a troubling history of five fumbles in his last two seasons. He is also one of the lowest-graded pass protectors in the Power 4. Like Zack Moss or Isiah Pacheco, he is a tough finisher who earns his keep through physicality, but his ceiling is likely capped as a developmental backup or special teamer.
