JACK ENDRIES
Scout's Take
Jack Endries is a reliable, versatile tight end who has flourished as a "movable chess piece" in Steve Sarkisian's Texas offense. A transfer from California, Endries brings a "catch to attack" mindset, transitioning seamlessly from receiver to runner once the ball is secured. At 6'4" and 240 pounds, he is most effective as a detached tight end where he can use a quick burst off the line to uncover in zone coverage. He is particularly dangerous attacking the seam, challenging safeties vertically with his natural ball-tracking ability. From a fantasy perspective, Endries is a high-IQ target who consistently finds soft spots in coverage. However, his draft stock is currently tempered by a lack of elite lateral suddenness and inconsistent in-line blocking technique. He needs to improve his anchor and hand placement to survive as a traditional Y-tight end in the NFL. Like Dalton Schultz, his value is found in his reliability as a middle-of-the-field target rather than overwhelming physical dominance. Teams looking for a smart, modern tight end with a high work ethic will view him as a Round 2-3 lock.
