JUSTIN JOLY
Scout's Take
Justin Joly is one of the most intriguing "H-back" style prospects in the 2026 class, following a highly productive career at UConn and NC State. A former 2-star wide receiver, Joly plays with a "freak of nature" athletic profile that allows him to win from the slot or the backfield. He earned First Team All-ACC honors after a breakout junior season where he recorded 661 receiving yards at a massive 15.4 yards per catch. Joly is a "QB's best friend" who possesses some of the best hands in the class; multiple sources cite a contested catch rate exceeding 80%. In fantasy leagues, his YAC ability and vertical explosiveness make him a high-upside developmental TE. However, his smaller frame and short arms are significant liabilities in the blocking game, where he can be overpowered by longer NFL edge rushers. While he won't be a traditional in-line mauler, his ability to create separation and rip the ball out of the air at the catch point makes him a projected third-round NFL pick. His stylistic comparison to Isaiah Likely is earned through his versatility and "receiver-first" mentality.
