Eric McAlister is a high-upside vertical specialist who has proven to be one of the most efficient receivers in the Big 12. Standing 6'3" and 205 pounds, McAlister averaged a massive 16.5 yards per catch at TCU, fueled by an elite 2.60 yards per route run metric that ranks him among the top prospects in the 2026 class. He is a natural "strider" who eats up cushion quickly and excels in contested situations, utilizing his basketball background to box out defenders. In fantasy, he is a "best ball" darling due to his propensity for multi-touchdown games and 100+ yard performances. While his physical tools are undeniable, McAlister is still "raw" in his intermediate route transitions and can be neutralized by physical press-man corners. His comparison to Quentin Johnston reflects both his massive frame and the developmental "projection" required to refine his game at the NFL level. If he continues to improve his hands in traffic, he has the ceiling of a true NFL WR2.
