ERIC RIVERS
Scout's Take
Eric Rivers is a "game-breaking" vertical threat who uses exceptional speed to stretch defensive secondaries. Standing 5'11" and 180 pounds, Rivers averaged a stunning 18.9 yards per catch during his breakout 2024 campaign, proving to be one of the most dangerous "chunk play" creators in the ACC. He possesses "quick feet" at the line of scrimmage, allowing him to defeat press coverage and get into his stem with urgency. In fantasy leagues, his value comes from his ability to flip a game on a single target, though he can be a "disappearing act" if defensive coordinators prioritize deep shells. His smaller size is a major concern for NFL-level physicality, as larger corners can occasionally jam him out of plays. Like Darnell Mooney, he is a twitched-up "manufactured touch" weapon who adds significant value as a return man. He projects as a late-round flyer or high-priority free agent whose vertical speed offers a specialized role in a high-octane offense.
