JAM MILLER
Scout's Take
Jam Miller is a "violent," straight-line runner who uses elite high school track speed (10.71s 100m) to punish defensive secondaries. Standing 5'10" and 221 pounds, Miller possesses a "dense" frame and a choppy, aggressive running style reminiscent of Isiah Pacheco. At Alabama, he was a reliable "schedule-keeping" back who fumbled only twice in his entire career. In fantasy leagues, he is a "goal-line finisher" whose value is maximized in zone-scheme offenses that allow him to stretch runs wide and find cutback lanes. However, Miller lacks elite lateral agility or "wiggle," often struggling to make defenders miss in open-field one-on-one situations. His impact in the passing game is also limited, both as a route runner and as a blocker in pass protection. While he may lack the versatility of a lead workhorse, his breakaway "open field speed" and ball security make him a valuable Round 6 rotational contributor for a vertical-run offense.
